Well this was clearly a fun theme for our league. Let's do this one again... Great job everyone.

AMBER --When You're Good To Mama-- Fantastic job Amber! Mama likey! Excellent performance, near perfect vocals, not to be outdone by the performance/ prop. Great balance! Excellent costume, good control on your voice. --Cell Block Tango-- I was thoroughly entertained by your performance. A few missed lines but you nailed that Russian and I see the lines were a creative choice. I'm not brave enough to do that.

MEGAN --Toxic-- We were all wondering if you were going to fall in those high heels and coming down from the ledge. Nice costume change behind the DJ booth. League perfection! Just stellar. Excellent costume. --Take Me To Church-- This song is challenging to sing AND perform. Sound was good, but more projection needed on the low notes.

KIM --Eight Days A Week-- Well done, the judges were impressed with this one, I liked it too. Hella fun! --Celebrity Skin-- Courtney Love definitely fits the theme, great look, sounded good, a couple of phrasing issues.

DENIS --Anarchy In The UK--Well done, I liked this. It was fun and captured that brit punk. You ARE Anarchy my friend! --Crazy Train-- Nailed it! That's some crazy stuff right there. HEven down to the Ozzy talk at the beginning. Performative pissing, CRAZY pissing! Very entertaining (?!)!

JAIME --U + Ur Hand--Dang you look so cool. Great job. A bit of wobbles in a couple of notes, but your performance was great. Great choice & nice look with the jacket. --Whataya Want From Me-- Your performing has improved so much since you joined league. Great job. Great eye contact to judges (when we weren't marking) as that's tough for some folks. Also, you barely looked at lyrics, KUDOS!

CHANTELLE --Great Balls Of Fire-- This was a fun song and you got attention and showed off some vocals too. --I've Just Seen A Face-- This performance was fun, but the song didn't really show off what Chantellebot 4000 is capable of.

ROCHELLE --I Don't Wanna Be Me--Good job, welcome to league. Great outfit. You have the right voice for rockin', but i'd like to hear you amp it up some! Nice costume. --Abracadabra-- I know you picked this one last minute, but you filled the instrumentals with dancing. Usually those are karaoke performance killers. Way to hold the crowd. You sounded good too.

TIA --Ignition (Remix)--You had Jordan dancing in his seat. I would have danced too if I didn't have to sing next. Well done! Super fun! Bounce, bounce, bounce, bounce, bounce... --Heartache Tonight-- This had good crowd engagement, which can be very hard to do.

MELODY --I'm Yours-- Sounded good. I miss seeing your performances, but if that's what it takes to not die on stage, I guess that is priority. Loved it, start to no-cough finish! du, du, du, du... --Symptom Of Being Human-- Again, missing visuals, but good sound. This one sounded even better than the first.

KYLE --Wheat Kings-- Sounded good and soulful. Would like to see you get into performing more when you get comfortable with this whole thing. --Whiskey In The Jar-- This one could use a couple more listens for timing, although pitch and key and expression were done pretty well.

EMERY --Wanted Dead Or Alive-- Some timing issues, but I do love your voice and you had some fun up there. You have a unique & appealing voice. You put fun into the show and were mostly on pitch on a tough song. :) --Copperhead Road-- I love this song. You got the crowd going and this was vocally the stronger of your two songs.

CRAIG --I Am A Man Of Constant Sorrow-- You sing this song very well. GREAT crowd control & participation. This helps performance so much! Also, very fitting expression. --Ol' Red-- Sounded pretty good again, but will be good when you get more into the visual. Costumes and props can be simple ways to jazz things up.

LENORE --Go To War-- I'm also not a fan of war, but I loved this song. Well done! You warmed up and got even stronger as you went! --Heart Shaped Box-- Nirvana isn't all that exciting, but you put a lot of emotion into it. Good job.

KRISTA --Over The Hills And Far Away-- I've never heard this song before. You seemed nervous for sure, but i'm hoping we can get you out of your shell. I could tell you were a bit nervous, though your vocals improved as you went. Also, for being a VERY tough song, well done! --When Will My Life Begin-- This song is very fast and has so many fluctuations in notes and so much going on. I applaud the ambition you brought in to do it. Some more practice or listens could help you nail it down a little stronger.

MIKE --Doin' Time-- Your energy is contagious. A few minor timing issues, but the song sounded good with your voice. --Jailbreak-- Aside from touching Jordan's pizza, I thought the vocals and expression and stage presence were really well done on this song. Dude, you touched my pizza. You will never do that again. That's gross. 0 marks for performance.

HAYLEY --The Night Chicago Died-- This was a pretty song for you, but there was some shakiness in your voice. Nice classic song. --Jackson-- You still seem so nervous. How do we get you to not seem so scared up there?

Thank you again to Jordan Bean and Bruce Brodie for judging.

Thanks for a fun night, everyone! Again, this is a fun theme, lets do it again!

TARA --Empty Garden-- In true Tara fashion, you were your own interpretive dancer while singing. You know how to hold the audiences attention. Sound is always fantastic. I don't know this song but I enjoyed your performance! Mesmerizing. --My Ding-A-Ling-- So entertaining, you're a crazy lady. Lots of people played with your bells... I mean ding-a-lings. My face hurts from laughing. So funny.

SHIMMY --Zombified-- Sounded great & well presented... eerily accurate... I really like the 'zombies' you recruited. They didn't distract from the performance but just enhanced it and the message. That note in the last chorus you hit perfectly! Excellent use of local zombies. --I Only Want To Be With You-- Mushy warning, I melt when you sing to me. I like when you sing Volbeat. Good choice of supporting band members. Unfair advantage- you actually play guitar so your 'fake' playing is better than most. Jokes aside, your performance was strong but vocals got lost at times.

LISA --Something In The Orange-- I've heard this song done by so many guys, but this is the first time I've heard a woman do it and it sounded really good. Great emotion too. Your emotion shone through on this performance. Great job! Goosebumps. --Save Me-- Your voice gives me chills, and the emotion Is always packed your songs. Your emotion got even better when you were solo up there! I felt this one in my bones.

TAYLOR --Ring Of Fire-- The only problem with this song was the volume on the very low notes. I know it's hard to project that stuff. I struggled with it last night. That low register though! Holy sh- I was not expecting that! Fantastic job - the best song I've heard you sing. --Can't Help Falling In Love With You-- Well this sounded fantastic. Involving Kayla was a great performance choice. It was sweet and was a great song for you tonight. I'm a sucker for cute, romantic performances. Like I said before, this is your best tone. Keep it up!

MORGAN --Cell Block Tango-- Vocals were great, timing was a little struggley throughout. I feel this song deserves more power and passion though. These are murderesses after all! You have great tone and attitude for this song. You make the storytelling parts intriguing, as someone who's heard this song hundreds of times I really enjoyed how you executed those parts- it was unique. A couple timing issues & lyric slip ups but with practice you could nail this song. --Wannabe-- Fun song, lots of words, you still did it justice. This song is so fun! Fantastic job.

BRIGIT --Sweet Child O' Mine-- You and slash have great stage presence, sorry I gave you the short version. The outfits were phenomenal. Your voice is powerful! You can probably pull the mic back a bit for the belt notes but for this song it worked! Great job. --Who Knew-- This song was done SO WELL. This song sounds so damn good when you sing it. Vocally the stronger one. Loved this. Your voice was great. Performance wise I would've liked to see the desperation portrayed more than just vocally, I know you can do it!

CALEB --Fight For Your Right To Party-- So well done! This was a good song for your voice. Also fun! This song is perfect for your personality. You have a powerful voice, with a song with this intensity you can pull the mic back a bit. --Jailhouse Rock-- You started off key, but you found it and stayed mostly on it. The energy was contagious though. I was waiting for someone to sing this! Good attitude when your OG song didn't work out. Great energy.

SCOTT --Ring Of Fire-- Great expression and vocals. Like almost everyone who sings this song, some of the very low notes were hard to hear, because it's hard to project them. Fitting shirt for your song choice. Good crowd interaction. This song suits your range quite well. --Body Like A Back Road-- So well done, great sound and expression. One of my faves tonight. You seemed to have more fun with this one! Good balance of crowd work, judge interaction & general performing.

KEVIN --Hotel California-- Great sound, mellow, long song, but was done flawlessly in terms of vocals. Having a guitarist got you in the performance aspect. Your voice is perfect for this song! Less screen reading- it seems like you know this song well enough that you don't need it. Happy to see you moving around more while performing. My fave! --Beth--Sweet song, suits your soft voice. I would like you to hold the microphone a little closer to your face so I can project a little more for you. A mic stand could've given you some added performance value. Would've loved to see something during the instrumental. That last note was great.

JOEL --Prison Song-- I've never heard this song before, but you do SOAD so well. You could do a tribute band. This song is fast! Good job keeping up. The music drowned you out at some points but you made up for it. --38 Years Old-- Your voice is so good. If it was based on vocals alone you'd be killing it tonight. Your voice was much clearer on this song. Great job!

CLAIRE -- California Dreamin'-- You sing so softly, that worked for this song. Your dress definitely gave the 'dreamy' vibe of the song. -- Criminal-- I love that you actually know this song. I've seen many sad attempts, but you knew the whole thing. Thank you for that. Prison outfit = perfect for the theme. Well done!

AMBROSE --Still Doin' Time-- Decent song for you, sounded like it was in your comfortable range. More judge & crowd interaction. It seems you were second guessing yourself at points... I don't know this song and wouldn't have noticed any hiccups- just roll with it. Confidence can cover some mistakes! --The Midnight Special-- Stayed in vocal range, although sometimes you make a face that looks like the notes are stretched or like you're nervous about hitting it. Stop doing that. Poker face. Make it look effortless and it will sound that way too. Your voice power came through with this song. Good job!

DAVID --Ghost riders In The Sky-- Some of this song was REALLY good, some needs more work. You're getting better at picking songs that work for you. A couple timing issues but I think country is a good genre for you! --Whiskey In The Jar-- There were a few timing issues and you didn't really change notes through the song. It wasn't your stronger song. Did you get some drinks in? Haha. You were much more confident with this one!

CALBERT --I Believe I Can Fly-- This was my Grade 8 grad song, it takes me back emotionally. You got more comfortable as the song went on. A little less screen watching and moving around will elevate your performance. --Imagine-- Pretty well done, its hard to do much with such a slow song. Your better song of the night!

BRUCE --Wasted On You-- The lower notes were so good, good song choice for you. This would've been a good song to have your drink up there with you as a prop! Your emotion during this song was strong. --Band On The Run-- Fun song, but we had some timing struggles on this one. Good job!

Thank you again to Jaime Drader and Lenore Cooke for judging tonight.
